The
Bell County Animal Shelter is funded by the county to provide care for
homeless or stray animals. At this time the shelter has a
five-day legally required holding period for stray dogs over 6 months
of age. Approximately 28% of animals taken to the shelter in 2010
were adopted by new owners, but animal control remains the primary goal.
Here is Shelter
Information, including a map, staffing and hours, and instructions
for going to the shelter to drop off an animal or trying to adopt.
If you have a dog or cat that needs to
go the shelter,
here is some advice, some options, and some instructions.
Do you need a pet that needs you? Here's how to adopt

dogs on
Petfinder.com. These are updated
regularly.
