Caring for Animals
Improving Bell County

Friends of the Shelter is a non-profit animal welfare organization with one primary purpose - to reduce the number of homeless, unwanted and uncared for animals in Bell County. Friends of the Shelter will work to achieve this purpose by focusing on three main objectives:
  • Promote Responsible Pet Ownership
  • Encourage Spaying and Neutering
  • Support the Bell County animal shelter

About FOS has information about the organization, the funding and membership of the Friends, or even a chance to Meet Our Members.

Here is information about "SNAP" and our other Spay/Neuter Programs, all working to prevent homeless animals from occurring in the first place!

Friends of the Shelter supports the Bell County dog pound, and the development of an animal shelter our county can be proud of and support.  About The Shelter has information about shelter activities and services, while working with Petfinder.com to connect homeless animals with good owners.

NOTE: All pets seen on this website are rescued pets.  To help us find homes for more, consider visiting Petfinder.com for some of our foster animals.
